Plonka Interactive develops state-of-the-art marketing that provide web applications and corporate marketing. Plonka Interactive develops web sites with highly attractive online presentations, ecommerce and customer/operations systems. Our office is located at the Tollway and 121 in Plano.
We are seeking a designer who can work within a team to strategically develop and layout for online content. Visualize entire site and understand how to develop user interface to accomplish customer’s goals.
Work with a variety of projects in different industries to develop their branding and marketing message. Develop web style guides and develop pages to conform to style. Develop information architecture, click throughs and have excellent grammatical, spelling usage and punctuation skills.
Determine size and arrangement of marketing material, graphics and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts. Implement forms using HTML and Javascript for data validation.
Employ thorough knowledge of language mechanics, graphic arts processes, in-house and trade terminology and technical terms. Create or incorporate simple to moderately complex graphics to supplement web page designs.
Must be able to grasp and understand technical information and interpret and apply guidelines and standards to a variety of media. Must pay attention to detail without losing sight of the overall task while working quickly and accurately under pressure, as well as be able to work on multiple projects at different stages of development. Excellent communication skills are essential as well as ability to solve problems creatively and expediently. Must be able to critique constructively and diplomatically.
Requires high creativity plus the ability to effectively apply the latest web technologies to various projects. Candidates required to solve and execute solutions to complex layout situations, often working closely with editor or author. Must have ability to work independently and exhibit leadership qualities and capabilities. Effective oral and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities also include project management by ensuring that individual projects are managed within company budget and guidelines as well as organizing project data, scheduling workflow, tracking costs and providing quality assurance during all production phases.
Must be flexible with outstanding work ethic, and possess the ability to respond quickly to company and client needs. Must be able to work with high-pressure schedules. Small agency requires a will-do-what-is-necessary attitude, including answering phone and supporting accounting. Agency experience a plus.
Strong HTML skills
Experience in development using Visual Studio, CSS, JavaScript, Dreamweaver MX, Illustrator, Visio
Design experience using Adobe CS3: Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, Illustrator, Sound Booth, Premier
Print design experience
Team player with the abilities to learn and implement new technologies quickly
Strong communication skills
