Business Development Specialist
- Make service presentations using Consultative Sales abilities
- Develop sales territory; achieve sales quota set for territory.
Activity Parameters
- Contact 40 customers and new prospects a day to generate business, set up meetings and related activities with an average of 5 outside sales calls per week.
- Use ACT! to coordinate prospects and generate weekly sales reports
- Plano / Dallas territory
Write proposals in response to RFPs and queries. Have understanding of web technologies and how projects can be put together.
- Listen to and understand prospects needs and desires
- Employ examples from our portfolio
- Craft language that will present us in the best light
- Entice prospect to contact us
- Research new technologies
- Find ways to offer best value to prospects
- Develop cost estimates
- Interact with project manager, programmers and designers to identify opportunities for web-based applications and web-based interfaces to legacy systems
- Ability to work with clients and maintain a professional posture in both a one-on-one scenario and as part of a team presentation.
- Develop other written documents such as press releases, web content and marketing copy
Necessary Skills
- High degree of integrity with professionalism to establish long-term client relationships
- Experience with online systems sales or advertising sales.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work well within a team, supporting other members and working towards a unified goal
- Have excellent follow-up and customer service skills
Requirements
- General understanding of web design, search engine marketing and programming
- Nimble use of the web and email
- Experience in Software Development industry a plus
- Bachelor's degree and 3-7 years experience in writing and marketing
- Excellent writing and grammatical skills
- Have a positive and happy outlook
